We are truly delighted to be offering our guests this real gem of a cottage in the pretty rural village of Sharrington, North Norfolk, which lies conveniently between the Coastal village of Blakeney 5 miles and the Georgian town of Holt 3 miles.
Nestled down a quiet lane, this recently renovated and beautifully furnished cottage boasts a cosy ambience for couples wishing to escape for a romantic getaway. It also offers ample space for entertaining friends and is equally suitable with its versatile layout for families alike.
The caring owners have cleverly provided many thoughtful finishing touches for a luxurious ambience within a traditional cottage setting. A complimentary bottle of wine, Sunday papers and a big basket of logs are supplied.
Netherfield is priced according to the number of bedrooms used. It has two upstairs bedrooms 1 double, 1 twin and the benefit of a further optional downstairs bedroom twin 3’ or linked 6’ double. Do phone for our most competitive price to suit your size of party.
The cottage is set back from the lane with private parking for up to three cars.

One enters the cottage through a small porch with space to hang coats and store wellies. This leads into the tastefully decorated living room with comfortable sofas and a roaring open fire. For cosy evenings in there is Free view TV DVD and a hi-fi system and the cottage also benefits from full oil central heating.
The well-equipped kitchen has electric double oven and hobs, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. The owners love to cook and entertain and this is reflected in the high level of culinary equipment provided. Off the kitchen is a rear entrance hall leading to a good-sized downstairs shower roomwc and to the rear garden. The washer dryer is hidden away in a utility cupboard off this same hall.
The bright and sunny dining room, with Oak table and chairs, seats up to eight and beyond this is the lovely light downstairs bedroom offering the option of twin singles or 6’ double on request. On the walls hang a wonderful collection of 19th Century original watercolours depicting flowers.
A door from the sitting room opens to reveal a traditional steep ‘Norfolk winder’ staircase to the first floor. A spacious light landing leads to a good sized double bedroom, the pretty twin bedroom and the bathroom. All the bedrooms are sympathetically furnished and decorated to enhance Netherfield’s cottage charm.
To the rear of the cottage is a good-sized private cottage garden, laid mainly to lawn, with mature trees and shrubs. There is plenty of space for outdoor games and barbecues there is a charcoal BBQ at the cottage and garden furniture is provided so guests can take full advantage of the wonderfully quiet rural setting for alfresco meals. Hidden at the bottom of the garden is a lovely wooden Wendy House.
The owners do welcome very well behaved dogs at a small extra cost, provided their owners except full responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of the cottage in the interest of future guests. House rules apply. Please check when booking.
Sharrington is an ideal rural location for birdwatchers and walkers or those wishing for an escape to a traditional country cottage retreat. There are many wonderful country walks to enjoy from here.
