Woodpecker Cottage is a carefully restored home from home, which has been furnished to a high standard throughout.
In addition to being awarded a 4* rating by the English Tourist Board we have also gained the prestigious Gold Award for the standard of our accommodation.
This is a non-smoking cottage where well-behaved dogs are welcome. Gas central heating throughout. The lounge benefits from a beautiful oak flooring and is furnished with a log burner, comfy sofas, tables and lamps. There is a flat screen TV with full SKY package, DVD and Blu-Ray players. A mini audio system is available with CD player and i-pod docking station. A range of books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray discs and magazines can be found here.
Access to the cottage is through a boot room - ideal for walking boots and muddy dogs and children! A wc is conveniently located here.
The kitchen is fully equipped including electric hob and oven, fridge, separate freezer and washing machine.
Both bedrooms have luxurious feather quilts, side tables with lamps and adequate storage. All bedlinen and towels are provided. Bathrobes and hairdriers can also be found in both rooms.
The bathroom is fully equipped with bath and electric shower over, wc, wash basin and towel rail.
Outdoor Areas: There are 2 parking spaces and 2 fully enclosed gardens, both with patio areas equipped with tables and chairs for alfresco dining, plus a BBQ available in summer months.
The cottage is located in Sedgeford, a lovely village with bags of character. If you don't fancy using the fully equipped kitchen, then you may wish to try the village award winning gastro pub, which is a short stroll away or travel to any one of the many excellent restaurants in the locality.
A short walk away is an Anglo Saxon church and a Bronze Age archaeological dig site, which is open to the public throughout the summer months.
There are plenty of lovely walks to enjoy straight from your door plus access onto the Peddars Way cyclewalking route, which passes through Sedgeford.
Tennis courts, squash and a gymnasium are available at the village sports centre, while wonderful, fresh, local produce is for sale at the bottom of the road in the Walsingham Farm shop, located at Norfolk Lavender.
Beaches at Heacham and Hunstanton are just 10 minutes by car away. There are also a number of RSPB reserves and many excellent golf courses within easy reach of the property.
The cottage is also just 15 minutes from Brancaster and Sandringham with Burnham Market 20 minutes away if you fancy some shopping and/or celebrity spotting.
