VIOLET Cottage is a delightful, cosy and recently modernised and newly furnished conversion of part of the Old Dairy in the quiet, peaceful village of KELLING, Holt. Approximately 200 yrs old, this charming 2 bedroom cottage sleeps 4 people - 1 Double, 1 large Twin bedded room. The bright bathroom has a Bath and Shower. You can relax in the living room which has two comfortable large sofas and an armchair, a flat screen TV, and DVD player and overlooks the sunny garden. The bright large Kitchen, Diner consists of a reclaimed pine table seating 4 people, rustic pamment flooring and exposed flint wall and also overlooks the cottage garden.
There is also the use of a communal grassed lawn which is shared by all of the cottages in the Dairy.
Relax in the enclosed south facing pretty walled garden which consists of a mixture of flowers and plants overlooking the countryside of Kelling - a birdwatcher's delight, with garden table, chairs and BBQ.

From the cottage meander through the woods to Kelling Heath, or climb Muckleburgh Hill for views across the coastline. Follow the village brook passed Kelling water meadows, locally known as the Quags, to the beach 1 mile, rest at the Tea Room and Gallery, or just relax in the cottage garden. Take a stroll in the evening to the Pheasant Hotel and Restaurant with lounge bar, which is open to non residents.

We are close to the seaside resort of Sheringham - Weybourne to enjoy a ride on the Steam Train and Blakeney for Seal Trips and Crab Fishing on the quay.
We are also only 2 miles from the lovely market town of HOLT for lots of boutiques, antique shops, galleries and coffee shops.
Birders or Walkers can enjoy walks along the marshes or beach to SALTHOUSE nature reserve-children can buy an ice cream and feed the ducks at the village pond, have a drink at the Dun Cow pub or lunch at Cookies Crab Shop or pick up a Cappucino from the coffee man on the beach! Pick up a picnic basket from Picnic Fayre Deli at Cley Next Sea and walk or drive along the beautiful coast!
Prebook a ticket for the Summer show on Cromer Pier, or Sheringham Theatre. Visit Blickling or Holkham Hall and Estate along the coast near Wells next the Sea. There is plenty to do on the Norfolk Coast!
