HAWK COTTAGE AND KEEPERS COTTAGE are traditional red brick and flint holiday cottages in Titchwell, on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Ideally located for birdwatching breaks near the Titchwell RSPB reserve
Titchwell is a quiet coastal village and these comfortably furnished cottages are set in a cul-de-sac about 200 metres from the A149 coast road. Well placed as a base for visiting Norfolk's many attractions, including Royal Sandringham, Norfolk Lavender, Holkham and the Norfolk Broads. Two restaurants and bars are in the village, just a short walk away.
The cottages each sleep six and are therefore ideal for family breaks. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Both cottages have access to a small attractive garden at the rear and car parking is freely available in the cul-de-sac at the front of the cottages.
ACCOMMODATION
Both holiday cottages have three bedrooms; a large double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a smaller room with full size bunk beds.
On the ground floor of both cottages there is a bathroom with bath and shower, plus a utility room complete with washing machine and tumble drier. Each has a modern kitchen and large living room dining area with television and videoDVD.
Hawk Cottage has electric storage heating while Keepers Cottage has oil central heating. The fully fitted kitchens include an electric cooker, oven, fridge, kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave and all cooking utensils. All linen, towels, heating and electricity are included in the price.
At the rear of the properties there are individual enclosed, mainly lawned gardens and patios, plus a large grassed area shared by both cottages. Garden furniture and barbecues are available.

ABOUT THE AREA
TITCHWELL - The church of St Mary The Virgin lies just behind the cottages and its earliest parts date from the latter part of the eleventh century. The building, mentioned in the Domesday Book, boasts a flint-built round tower typical of the period.
The Titchwell RSPB Reserve extends over 500 acres of saltwater marsh, shallow lagoons and reedbeds. Marsh Harriers, Avocets and the odd Bittern are visible in summer and the winter brings waterfowl, including Wigeons and Brent Geese. Flocks of Scoters, Grebes and divers make for great viewing off the shore. Sheltered areas and hides on the reserve make viewing possible all year round.
NORTH NORFOLK - There are over 20 miles of coastline from Holme next the Sea to Wells-next-the Sea, with lots of wonderful footways and bridle paths to explore by walking or cycling.
The North Norfolk Coastal Path is a long distance footpath across Norfolk, which runs West to East from Hunstanton to Cromer. Originally opened in the mid 1980's, covering the North Norfolk Coast AONB Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At Holme-next-the-Sea, the Path links with the Peddars Way which runs approximately 46 miles to Thetford near the Norfolk-Suffolk border.
GOLF - The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club at Brancaster is a private traditional links course, described as Beautiful, unpredictable, tough and friendly. Day and weekend green tickets are bookable in advance. Hunstanton Golf Course, a championship links course, is within easy reach too.
The North Norfolk Railway , known as 'The Poppy Line', runs 10½ miles from Holt through Kelling and Weybourne to Sheringham, using steam and vintage diesel locomotives. |
