Tides Reach was originally 4 brick and flint cottages dating from the eighteenth century, built by a local ship owner for his best sea captains. The cottages have now been connected into one, creating a wonderfully comfortable home, retaining the charm of the traditional cottage appearance. We lived there ourselves until recently, when we converted our boat building workshops into a home for ourselves next door.

We are always on hand should you have any questions or requests.

The front door opens into the spacious kitchendining room and you will immediately feel ‘at home’. The AGA keeps this room wonderfully snug and the combination of oiled wood worktops, hand built kitchen units, butlers sink and tiled floor create a welcoming atmosphere. Add to this the large open fire at one end and a pine dining table, which can be increased in size for Christmas and larger parties, and you have a perfect family room.

Tides Reach is wonderful both for an adult getaway and for families with children who are well catered for in this cottage with table football, games and DVD's, sand pit, buckets and spades and crabbing gear provided.

Tides Reach has its own spacious driveway with ample off-road parking. The house borders a fenced meadow which guests are welcome to use and which provides a lovely safe play area for children and dogs.

Facilities:

- Garden and patio with furniture and barbecue charcoal available locally

- Use of meadow

- Various garden games, beach gear, etc

- Ample off-road parking and direct marsh access

On the far side of the meadow a private mowed path leads through shrubs and grass to the marsh where it opens up to a stunning view of the marshes with the backdrop of Blakeney Point.

Guests are welcome to use this marsh access to avoid the mayhem of the car park when the seal trips are running! Dogs are allowed to run on the marshes off the lead, but you are asked to please respect the birdlife and other walkers.

All seal trip boats to Blakeney Point leave from Morston Quay. As soon as the tide retreats you have the marsh to yourself and the walking possibilities are endless.
