The owners of Spirals decided to carry out a complete renovation of their much loved family holiday home and called in our favourite interior expert for his advice. They have turned this well placed modern house into a little gem with sumptuous interiors, new kitchen, bathrooms, furniture and finishing touches all ready for discerning guests who want the peace lovely Salthouse offers, with Blakeney, Cley and Holt just a few minutes away.
Tucked away down a quiet cul de sac with open fields to the side, Spirals offers spacious and bright open plan accommodation on the ground floor with a small entrance hall and cloakroom with WC. The sitting area is furnished with comfy sofas around a small log burner and there is TV and DVD for cosy evenings in. There is a table seating six for enjoying meals cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. Just off the kitchen is a useful utility room with washer and drier and space for hanging coats and wellies and with access to the garden.
The spiral staircase winds up to the first floor where there is a large master king size bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower above the bath and a smaller double bedroom also with ensuite facilities. Carrying on up the spiral staircase to the second floor is the third double bedroom with stunning views from its full length French doors with Juliet balcony over the fields to the sea and of Salthouse church. This room is available for guests to stay in by request and at a small extra cost.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars and a delightful south facing garden with patio furnished with teak table and chairs and a built in barbeque - ideal for enjoying a well deserved drink after a day on the marshes. For walkers this house is ideal… from the garden you can walk up the field to several footpaths around Salthouse Heath where the stunning heath land is complemented with great sea views and Salthouse beach is also within easy walking distance.
The whole house has been beautifully furnished and decorated with top quality coordinating fabrics and many thoughtful touches by the caring owners. It benefits from full oil central heating so is beautifully warm and cosy whatever the season. We think Spirals is an ideal hideaway for couples to enjoy a relaxing holiday and explore this beautiful part of the Norfolk coast.
Salthouse is a picturesque coastal village a few miles to the east of Blakeney and the famous Cookies crab shop also an informal restaurant offering superb and well priced fresh shellfish platters is within easy walking distance of Spirals. There is also a good pub and a fish and chip shop in the village.
