Shingle Cottage is situated in a quiet lane just off the village green. This cosy 3 bedroomed, flint and brick 19th century cottage couldn't be more convenient for easy access to the shops and restaurants on the bustling village green.
New refurbished in 2010 we have tried to add every possible amenity. Decorated in fresh nautical style with thermostatically controlled electric CH system NOT night storage!
New kitchen with new oven, dishwasher, and microwave and fridge. Small freezer in utility cupboard.Very well equipped with crockery and cookery equpment. Tea towel provided.
The living room diner with original pammented floor and traditional rugs has an electric woodburning effect stove. There is a 32 inch flat screen Freeview tv with integral dvd so easy to use! Selection of dvds for all ages, CD and radio. Books, games,local maps guides and information provided.
Circular dining table extends to 6 seater. High chair available on request.
1st floor comprises: main bedroom, has double bed, bedside cabinets, buit-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and small corner dressing table. Shower bathroom, wc,washbasin, heated towel rail and shaver point light. Magnifying mirror.
Small bedroom, with full size bunk beds and built-in wardrobe. Black-out blind.
2nd floor:
Norfolk door opens to stairs to twin bedded eaves bedroom with double glazed velux with black-out blind. Because the stairs are steep
this room is recommended for older children and fit adults only. Two full size single beds. Two storage bedside chests of drawers,and peg hanging for clothes. Magnifying mirror. Towels are large and fluffy, bedding excellent quality. PLEASE BRING OWN BEACH TOWELS.
There is a travel cot on request complete with extra comfy mattress but BRING OWN BEDDING FOR THIS.
Stair gate available for stairs down to living room, Norfolk door at bottom.
Outside kitchen is a flint outhouse newly converted to a high standard of insulation and centrally heated. This is two steps from the back door with canopy above. Comprises compact bath with thermostatic shower above with glazed screen, wc, washbasin with mixer tap, shaver point light and magnifying map. Cupboard with washer dryer.
Garden is to the rear of the outhouse bathroom, fully enclosed with a patio area with new 6 chair oval table and charcoal barbeque. This is a small private well screened shingled garden with some plants.
Crabbing nets and buckets provided, insulated picnic napsack with plates etc, cooler blocks, picnic rug, wind break. careful guest permitting!!
Easy parking in road outside cottage.
Change over day is Friday. No smoking inside the cottage. Damage deposit required. Booking terms and conditions on website.
Short breaks and long weekends available off season Sept - May 5,4,3 nights 90%,80%,70% of weekly cost respectively.
