Rose Cottage - Binham, Norfolk

Announcement: Lovely refurbished flint cottage for 4. Some feb/march availability. central heating and wood burning stove. Beautiful village, w/ shops, pub and a picturesque ruined Priory. Very suitable for children.

Rose Cottage is a beautifully refurbished flint cottage in a pretty loke off the village green in the heart of Binham. Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms.

The very comfortable sitting-room has a wood-burning stove, a flat-screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player, a VCR and broadband WiFi internet access. The kitchen is well-equipped with a built-in hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer and washer-drier.

Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms, one double with a glorious hand-made oak bed, and one single plus a sofa-bed with toys and books for the children. The bathroom also has a shower over the bath. There is a stair-gate fitted at the top of the stairs for the safety of your children. A travel-cot and high-chair are available if needed.

The beds will be made up with crisp cotton linen and towels will be laid out for your arrival.

Children are very welcome. Pets are very welcome on prior arrangement. Windows are double-glazed. Hot water, oil central heating, electricity and wireless broadband are included.

Prices per week from £250 low season to £478 high season. Arrival after 4pm on Friday. Departure by 10.30 am on the following Friday.

The cottage can be rented by the night, depending on availability. Prices for one-night or weekend breaks on request.

The pretty south-facing garden in front of the kitchen door has a garden table and chairs for meals or drinks outside watching the swifts and swallows above.

The second patio has a washing-line for summer drying of beach towels. There is parking by the cottage.

August 2008 - What a delightful cottage, so well equipped, cosy, comfortable and charming. Binham is a lovely village, and it was good to meet Trevor at the village store and sample the local sausages at Howells opposite the Chequers Pub. Binham Priory was v. interesting. - Cant wait to book up again if you will have us back.

Sept 2008 - It`s a home from home - the Chequers is excellent for food. Shops in Holt were lovely. We hope to visit again!

April 2009 - We have had a great time in your cottage - it is very cozy and well equipped - we settled in straight away. Enjoyed meeting Trevor at the village store, the Wells-Walsingham steam train, some treats from the shop in Walsingham, fish and chips from the Riddle and of course Byfords and Holkham Beach. We didn`t want to go home and hope you will have us back.

May 2009 - A good place to relax and unwind. Totally stress free! Comfortable well equipped cottage in a lovely quiet village. Good general store too. Very central for day trips, with plenty of places to see and things to do in North Norfolk. Would recommend the North Norfolk Railway and Pensthorpe must not be missed. Houghton Hall also a good afternoon out. The pub in the village is very friendly and has its own brewery!! Cottage is nice and warm too. We had a great stay.

June 2009 - Enjoyed a lovely warm, sunny weekend. Magnificent walled garden at Felbrigg Hall, also went to the Elton John Concert at Holkham Hall. Appreciated your Robert Thompson - Mouseman - bed, the best holiday cottage bed that we have slept in!
