The Retreat www.theretreat.co.uk is a brand new, upmarket, luxuriously comfortable, self catering holiday let. It is an old, traditional Norfolk red brick and pantile, single storey building, converted to a very high specification. The accommodation is a warm, cosy, retreat space, an ideal place in which to get away from it all. A perfect place in which to take time out, wind down, de gear and re evaluate life.

The situation is unique, giving both rural isolation in the beautiful Bure Valley area of North Norfolk. It is close to Itteringham, two miles from Blickling, five minutes from Aylsham, , and fifteen minutes from Holt and Reepham. It is within easy reach of the coast, and only a thirty minutes drive to the beautiful historic cathedral town of Norwich.

The Retreat is fully detached. It is set in its own half acre of garden, with large parking, and turning area.

The garden includes woodland, replete with snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells in spring, to old apple trees, full of blossom in spring, and fruit in autumn. It has its very own gravel garden.

It is a wildlife haven, with many small birds to be seen all year round. A colony of long tailed tits is always around the garden to admire at close range. To the east of The Retreat is open farm land, in which deer and buzzards are occasionally seen. It is the regular hunting ground of barn owls, which sometimes fly directly over the garden.

The Retreat has a south and west facing aspect, and its very own patio area, with table and chairs. It is a veritable sun trap, where it is possible to eat outside not only in the summer, but all year, as it catches the warmth from the spring and autumn sun. East Anglia is the driest part of the country, so there are many opportunities to be outside even in the cooler months.

The studio lounge bedroom has been converted to maintain and enhance the traditional features: old beams and cast iron wood burner, kindling, fire lighters, matches, wood and coal provided for a short stay, but further fuel available, traditional Norfolk pamments, antique pine chest of drawers and wardrobe.

As well as traditional features, it has all mod cons:, back up electric heating, wi fi, flat screen TV with free view and DVD, new floor, and especially comissioned leather sofa, converting to a four foot six double bed, with good quality pillows, duvets and linen. There is a book case with a range of interesting books to look at during your stay.

It is tastefully decorated and finished all round.

The kitchen is fully fitted, with washer dryer, refrigerator, microwave, oven, and as many mod cons as possible. Washing up liquid, kitchen towels and cloths, cleaning products, etc all provided.

The shower room is state of the art, with large, dark and dramatic porcelain tiles, set off with chrome strip, large shower with powerful energy efficient electric shower, and top of the range sanitary wear with quality fittings. Luxurious towels provided, as well as guest soap.

The whole building is run on a green electricity tariff at no charge to the occupant, and all the lighting fittings are run on low energy bulbs. The Retreat is converted to the highest specifications, including insulation to maximum specification so that it is as energy efficient as it is possible to be.

This is The Perfect Place in which, to rest, rejuvenate, to retreat, to luxuriate: from which, to re engage, replenished and inspired, with the world and life.

Staying at The Retreat also gives you the opportunity to join in with regular yoga classes see www.yogalightness.com , and for one to one tuition, whether for the experienced yoga practitioner or those with no experience at all, as the owner is a fully qualified and experienced yoga teacher.
