As soon as you open the door and see exposed beams, a wood burner and traditional fireplaces throughout, we are sure you will agree this will be a truly home from home holiday.
The property was awarded an English Tourism Council Three Star Rating for Self catering properties in July 2001.
MARJORIE COTTAGE
Marjorie cottage will comfortably accommodate four guests and a baby. The property is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.
GROUND FLOOR
The cottage comprises of a hallway leading to the lounge which is a comfortable cosy room. Centre piece of the room is the Victorian fireplace, with three piece suite, colour TV and VCR. A selection of Videos, books and magazines are all provided for your enjoyment.
For our younger guests we have a selection of toys, books and videos for their enjoyment
The hallway also leads to the dining room which is dominated by the original Norfolk Red bricked fire place with wood burner and exposed wooden beams. This provides a comfortable and pleasurable surrounding in which you can enjoy meals at the table which seats four people. A high chair is also provided for our younger guests.
The dining room leads to the kitchen which is small but well designed with plenty of cupboard space and is equipped with an electric oven, ceramic halogen hob, fridge with small freezer and microwave. Again for the young guest´s small plates, bowls, cups and cutlery are all provided together with an Avent bottlefood warmer for your convenience. The kitchen door leads to a secure patio area with table and chairs to the rear of the cottage.
UPSTAIRS
Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is very spacious and features exposed beams and the original Victorian fireplace. The bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with matching pine wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table and double bed.
A remote control colour TV and hair dryer have been provided for your comfort.
For our younger guest a travel cot and stair gate have been provided for convenience and safety.
The second bedroom again features exposed beams and the original Victorian fireplace. The bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and double bed.
Both bedrooms have been tastefully decorated. Matching bed linen can be provided at a cost of £8 per bedweek.
The bathroom is fully tiled and consists of a bath with hand held Victorian shower, basin with separate WC. We have supplied a potty for the convenience and comfort of our younger guests.
Each room is heated by night storage heater. Guests that have stayed at the cottage have frequently commented that they felt comfortable and cosy. The cost of the heating is included in the rental. However we do make a small charge for the cost of the logs and fuel when using the woodburning stove.
Parking is available outside the property on the public road. However please be assured that this is a quiet avenue which is only subject to light and occasional traffic.
Please Note: Regrettably under the terms and conditions of our insurance providers we cannot allow our guests to smoke inside the property. Unfortunately we do not allow pets. |
