BRANCASTER
Brancaster is on the North Norfolk Coast, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether you are looking for a sailing, walking, birdwatching, bucket and spade or simply a relaxing holiday Brancaster has much to offer and Maremma is a welcoming and comfortable haven to return to at the end of the day be it summer or wintertime.

The broad sandy sweep of Brancaster beach is about one mile by road from the cottage across the salt marshes and the vast expanse of Holkham beach immortalised by Gwyneth Paltrow is six miles away. Brancaster Staithe sailing club is a mile away and can be reached by car or on foot along the Norfolk coastal path.

There is a village shop and post office close by and the excellent ‘Fish Shed’ at Brancaster Staithe supplies wonderful fish and shellfish, vegetables, herbs as well as game in season. Burnham Market, four miles away, has a very good range of interesting shops as has Holt which is worth a visit. The beautiful Cathedral City of Norwich is forty miles distant. For golfers, the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is at the end of the road whilst the Hunstanton course is six miles away.
