HIGHLAND HOUSE, HUNSTANTON
Highland House is a lovely Victorian property set in a quiet street just off Boston Square in the cliff-top conservation area, and only 5 minutes walk from the seafront. The house is quite large and will comfortably sleep 10 people. In total there are six bedrooms plus two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, sitting room and a study.
Although Victorian, Highland House has been largely renovated over the last few years.
On the ground floor as well as a hall and study, there is a large sitting room with French doors leading to the dining room, plus a very bright, airy and well equipped kitchendiner with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. The kitchen looks on to the garden, which is completely enclosed.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two singles. All of the bedrooms are a good size and there is plenty of hanging space. The bedrooms are arranged over two floors with one bathroom on each floor, so the house is suitable for sharing between two families. There is adequate roadside parking and a single garage. But please note: the garage is which is only suitable for storing bicycles, windsurfers etc.
There is lots to do in and around Hunstanton. Highland House is ideally located for both shops it is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre and beachfront.
This is one of the safest stretches of coastline that you will find in East Anglia and the range of water activities keeps expanding. As well as Hunstanton is fast becoming a mecca for other water sports such as kite surfing. But if you are feeling less energetic, there are plenty of other attractions. There is a very good golf course less than a mile away and some equally good pubs; such as the Lifeboat at Thornham and the Ancient Mariners in Old Hunstanton. Plus there is a major birdwatching centre at Titchwell - not to mention the wonderful walks along the coastline.
