CHURCH VIEW COTTAGE

This delightful traditional brick and flint terraced cottage is situated opposite the church, enjoying a pretty village setting. It has been carefully modernised to provide spacious, comfortable accommodation for two people, and many of the original features have been retained. There is an attractive cottage garden to the rear.

The front door leads directly into the living room with Norfolk pamment tile floor and open beamed ceiling together with an inglenook fireplace opening. It is furnished with settee and chairs, dining table and chairs, coffee table, colour television and heated by night storage heater and convector heater. There is a television/video and radio/CD player
This leads to the kitchen which is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge and toaster.
Off the kitchen is a small pantry/storeroom, home for general items.
The backdoor leads out into the garden.

A typical steep, winding Norfolk corner staircase, leads from the living room to the first floor landing. Straight ahead is an airing cupboard housing the hot water cylinder. To the left, a compact bathroom with shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin and shaver point plus extract fan and fan heater.
To the right is a large, fully carpeted bedroom, with double bed - duvet and pillows, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers, mirror, chair, hanging rail and convector heater.

Electricity and all bed linen is included in the rental price. Towels are not provided but are available for hire at a small charge.

One quiet, well behaved dog welcome.

Church View Cottage has all the ingredients for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and it is hoped that you will understand but we prefer no smoking.

GREAT SNORING
Set in a rural setting by the River Stiffkey, the village of Great Snoring is clustered around its church and old Rectory. It is recorded in the Domesday Book as 'Esnaringa1, also mentioned was a water mill, now depicted on the village sign. The village is still quite unspoilt and one of the peaceful villages in North Norfolk. The fine church which dates from the 13 century and has an interesting Perpendicular tower with living accommodation.
The medieval village of Little Walsingham is only 11/2 miles away, where there is the famous National Shrine to Our Lady and Slipper Chapel, monastic ruins and a museum.
Great Snoring village is within a short distance of the beautiful North Norfolk coast, including the fishing port of Wells-next-the-Sea and to the east, Blakeney, Sheringham and Cromer, the latter famed for its crabs and the tallest church tower in Norfolk. To the west, Brancaster and Hunstanton, with its imposing cliffs. Fakenham, 4 miles from Great Snoring has a Thursday market and auction which attracts people from far afield. Norwich and Kings Lynn, equal distance from the village are within easy driving distance.
A bus service passes through Great Snoring to Fakenham, Norwich, Holt, Walsingham and Wells with connections to Kings Lynn, Cromer and Hunstanton.
North Norfolk offers plenty of interest, museums, art galleries, stately homes, nature reserves, and is ideal for sailing and walking. The coastal area is one of England's most well known areas for bird watching throughout the year. Nearby is Holkham Hall and park, a fine example of palladian architecture, and Royal Sandringham is just a short drive away. Every village boasts an interesting church waiting to be explored, and many have pubs and restaurants offering excellent food including local seafood and fresh vegetables.
The North Norfolk coast has something to offer everyone, what ever the time of the year.
