Happy New Year to all our past, present and future guests ...
Securely perched on the cliff overlooking Mundesley sea front, Beach Cottage boasts a unique location directly overlooking the sandy beach. Close to all the amenities Mundesley has to offer, you can come here safe in the knowledge that beach and shops are all within close walking distance.
Beach Cottage has a beautiful enclosed landscaped garden with patio, decking area and built in barbeque for summer use. We have a large pub table and garden bench where you can enjoy your meals, watching the waves roll-in in front of you.
In the winter, protect yourself from the elements in our sheltered Lookout. Continue to enjoy the stunning views year-round, whilst warming yourself on the wood-burning stove. There is plenty of room to eat meals here: three tables seat eight, giving 2 extra spaces for guests. Watch out for seals, sea-birds, in-coming storms or just people-watch. We have an extra fridge here, which can be useful for chilling those bottles of beer.
Warm in winter and cool in the summer, our lovely brick and flint cottage comprises:
Three double bedrooms: Two in the main house both with sea views and one in a separate building called The Annex. All beds have duvets, two pillows and come with professionally laundered linen. All bedrooms have fully-fitted carpets.
Single room with two adult sized bunk beds: These sleep adults or children. We provide books and toys for the kids to save you the hassle of bringing your own.
Bathroom and separate shower room: The bathroom with bath, sink and toilet can be found in the main house. We keep a selection of bath toys to entertain the children here. The Annex has an ensuite shower room with a good electric shower, loo, bidet and sink. Guests are asked to bring their own towels.
Sitting room: There is seating for 8 here and you can enjoy great views of the garden and the sea beyond. Supplied with colour TV, video recorder, DVD player, Stereo CD and Minidisk player and also a fairly substantial book and video library.
Dining room: The Dining Room can seat up to six people, with a further four people in the kitchen. We tend to eat on the pub table on the patio, or in the Lookout where there is lots of space to sit down and look at the sea.
Kitchen: Generously supplied with most things, you will also find a larder fridge, dishwasher and microwave. It is here you can find the gas central heating and hot water controls, which you can adjust as you wish.
Downstairs cloakroom with toilet, basin and space to hang coats.
The Annex: The property includes a separate building which houses one double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Because The Annex is not centrally heated we have provided convection heaters, which make it warm and cosy in winter.
It is perfect for the grandparents, for those who want to escape the noise of family life, or for those who want their own space.
Utility Room: This can be found to the side of the main house and comes with a washing machine-dryer although we would encourage you to use the washing lines in the garden, which provide a very efficient and environmentally friendly drying service. There is also an ironing board and iron.
Off street parking for two cars
Storage areas: We provide garden furniture, useful things for the beach like windbreaks, deckchairs, toys, etc and barbeque equipment.
Cot, high chair and changing mat are available, at no extra cost but please use at your own risk and clean up before you leave.
Dog - no cats please: We welcome one well behaved dog at no extra cost, although we would expect you to scoop poops and to make every effort to remove all dog hairs before you go. If you have more than one dog, please let us know, as we may have to negotiate an additional fee which would be given directly to the housekeeper to cover the time needed for extra cleaning. Please do not allow your pets to go upstairs, or on the furniture.
Available for short breaks and weekends, please see our website for more information. |
