THE COTTAGES
Each cottage contains a kitchen-diner, sitting room, two bedrooms, bathroom and separate toilet. The bedrooms can be arranged as a King and a Twin or as two Twin rooms.
The well-equipped kitchen-diners and light and airy sitting rooms both have French windows leading onto the gardens.
Both cottages have a private garden and patio furniture. There is also a shared games room with table tennis in a nearby barn available from June 2010. Outdoor toys for children under 5 are available on request.
THE LOCATION
The Kings Beck, a tributary of the river Bure runs through the farmland and guests are able to fish on the river free of charge and walk in the meadows.
There are lots of lovely walks in the surrounding countryside and the coast; the famous Norfolk Broads are only a short drive away.
The cottages are located down a farm-track on North Farm and are surrounded by farmland. For most of the year, cows and young horses graze on some of the surrounding land.
The nearest pub is a mile away in the village of Skeyton, and the pretty market town of Aylsham is 3 miles away with a supermarket, as well as a variety of shops and pubs. The famous Norfolk Broads are only a few miles down the road.
GREEN CREDENTIALS
The conversion of the cottages was done very much with the environment in mind. The cottages are heated by an air source heat pump which extracts heat from the outside air to warm the water for the heating and hot water system. Underfloor heating and good insulation make the cottages extremely cosy and energy efficient.
